Cambridge International Curriculum

Skt. Josef’s offers places for international primary and secondary school students between the ages of 5 and 15. Teaching in our International School at Skt. Josef’s is based on the University of Cambridge’s International Curriculum. The University of Cambridge is the world’s largest provider of international education programmes and qualifications for primary and secondary school students.

Over 10,000 schools and nearly 1 million students in more than 160 countries follow the Cambridge International Curriculum. Its educational programmes allow teachers to cater to the individual requirements of students and to bring the best out of them.

Our Cambridge Upper Secondary (IGCSE) program at
Skt. Josef’s

Our tailored Skt, Josef’s Upper Secondary/IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) program caters for students in Years 10 and 11. The Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year-old students. It is the ideal preparation for further study, equipping students with the knowledge and skills for their A-levels or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.

How does the Cambridge IGCSE compare to SAT?

The IGCSE is a secondary school certificate that you earn. The SAT is a standardised  admissions test that is widely used for college admission in the US. 

Do American colleges accept the IGCSE?

The Cambridge IGCSE is recognized by more than 600 colleges in the US, including all of the Ivy League universities (Yale, Princeton, Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, Dartmouth College, Cornell University, Columbia University and Brown University). 

How does the Cambridge IGCSE compare to the UK GCSE and ‘O’ levels?

The Cambridge IGCSE is accepted as an equivalent to both the UK GCSE and ‘O’ levels for admission into institutes of higher education in the UK.
